The state of New Hampshire has forty-eight 4,000 footer mountains (mostly in the White Mountains) listed below in order of highest elevation to lowest elevation. A 4,000 footer is a mountain that has an elevation of at least 4,000 feet and a minimum of 200 feet prominence. All criteria is determined by the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC). You can earn a hiking patch for hiking all 48 of the New Hampshire 4,000 Footers, also known as the NH48.
